Treating Spots, Spills & Stains
Quick tips for keeping children's clothing fresh and clean
Food & Drink
Rinse with cold water from the back of the fabric. Apply a small amount of dish soap, gently rub, then rinse. Wash as usual.
Grass & Dirt
Let mud dry completely, then brush off excess. Pre-treat with stain remover or detergent, let sit for 10 minutes, then wash in warm water.
Baby Formula
Soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Apply enzyme-based stain remover and let sit. Wash in warm water with regular detergent.
Markers & Paint
For washable markers, rinse with cold water. For permanent markers, dab with rubbing alcohol. For paint, scrape off excess and rinse immediately.
Oil & Grease
Sprinkle cornstarch or baking soda on the stain to absorb oil. Let sit for 15 minutes, brush off, then apply dish soap directly to the stain before washing.
Blood Stains
Rinse immediately with cold water (never hot). Soak in cold salt water for 30 minutes. Apply hydrogen peroxide directly to the stain, let bubble, then rinse. Wash in cold water.
